Most of the power in a crocodile or alligator’s bite is in the downward motion when they snap their jaws shut. Very little muscle exhists for opening the mouth, so they can be easily bound around the snout with a bit of rope.
A cat can look at a dresser seven times his height, decide he wants to be on it, and jump straight up into the air, landing perfectly, with little effort. The humans’ record for high jump is about 2 meters, barely twice our height, with a running start, for Pete’s sake! (who the heck is Pete?)
