All religions, including christianity, but with the exception of strong Asian religions, such as Buddhism, have ties to Paganism. Strong Pagan ties can be seen in the early stages of christianity, around medieval times (1400s).
I find this fact very intriguing as christians like to believe that their religion is the one and only true way to happiness and life after death.
